My Rap Name is Alex

I'm Alex. I have loved Rap music and Hip Hop culture and break dancing ever since I was a small child. But as a seriously shy type I thought that actually performing in front of people was absolutely impossible. I used to write rap lyrics and post them on the internet to collect a little internet praise but knew better than to try to ever rap out loud. In the 2000s the political climate angered me to the point that I forced myself to read some of my lyrics as poetry at open mics. That led to me eventually joining the performance poetry group ice 9. Then a band called [BloodTHirsty Vegans] strongly suggested to me that they were going to play music while I said my poetry out loud. So I invented a Rap super hero, My Rap Name is Alex --much more confident than myself-- to cavort with the BloodThirsty Vegans. In the mid 2010s I learned and became enthralled with the art of Live Looping. I started a thing, [Live Loopers], to explore the art form and My Rap Name is Alex became a solo live looping performer as well.
